Eibhlín Ní Dhochartaigh Cultúrlann Uí Chanáin
Eibhlín Ní Dhochartaigh has been involved in promoting traditional Irish music and community arts for over 40 years. She is the Chairperson for Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2013 and spearheaded Derry’s bid to bring the Fleadh to the North of Ireland for the first time in 2013, the same year the city welcomes the City of Culture.
Eibhlín is also the Chairperson of the Derry City Branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann and is the Arts Programmer with Cultúrlann Uí Chanáin – a purpose built Irish language and cultural centre based in Derry.
She has previously served as a board member for Cairde Na Gaelscoile (parents association for Bunscoil Cholm Cille) and is currently a director on the Board of the Northside Development Trust, an urban regeneration company which is involved in multi-million pound development projects in the Greater Shantallow area of Derry.
