Rebuilding the Beloved Community

The Rev Livingstone Thompson is a minister with the Moravian Church in Belfast, a church with a centuries old tradition of opposing slavery and discrimination and a hub for the African-Caribbean community of the city.

The Rev Jesse Jackson from Chicago is an icon of the Black Civil Rights movement in the USA who has visited Belfast twice, including an appearance as guest of honour at the Aisling Awards in 2004, to propagate his powerful message of social justice and equality.
