Tour – New York-New Belfast Conference 2018
Tour of Hudson Square & New York City Fire Museum (2:30pm-5pm)
Hosted by: Rob Walsh, Professor, Columbia University
Presentation by: Ellen Baer, President, Hudson Square Connection & Frank Gribbon, Deputy Commissioner, FDNY
The area that was known as New York City’s Printing District is long gone and left many buildings empty and underutilized just north of Canal Street and west of Sixth Ave. Today, Hudson Square is home to many known as the creative class – designers, architects, tech companies, public relations firms, and radio stations.
The tour will end with a visit to the FDNY Museum where delegates will learn about the rebuilding of the agency after 9.11 and its history.
Delegates can read more about both stops here http://www.hudsonsquarebid.org and http://www.nycfiremuseum.org
(Delegates will leaver Pier A at 2:30pm and make their way to Hudson Square but Subway and will return to Pier A for the Farewell Finale at 5pm)
